November 15, 2012 – The United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky issued an Opinion and Order in favor of a Cosgrove Law Group, LLC’s client, confirming a $3.25 million award against Questar Capital Corporation. The 60-page Opinion provided a detailed analysis of each argument made by both parties, ultimately denying all of Questar Capital Corporation’s claims. The client, a former securities broker, filed a FINRA arbitration against his former employer, Questar Capital Corporation, a subsidiary of Allianz Life Insurance, for tortious interference, breach of contract, negligence and defamation. David B. Cosgrove and Kurt J. Schafers were the lead attorneys on this matter and were able to fight for a successful outcome for the client during the 15 days of arbitration hearing. The Panel also denied and dismissed Questar’s $10 million Counterclaim in its entirety.
